ALDOUS & STAMP
Ultra violet light is generated inside a quartz glass sleeve (which admits the maximum available light) within a sealed chamber and the water stream is directed through the centre of that chamber . Ultra violet light is known to kill all types of pathogenic micro organism and effectively disinfects the water supply at very low cost. The size of chamber, the number of ultra violet lamps and the number of quartz sleeves can all be varied to produce a device capable of treating a greater or lower flow of water but still ensure that all of the water stream is subjected to a sufficient concentration of ultra violet light to ensure a complete kill.
Our
uPVC units are very competitively priced and there are two models - the UV 100 (bottom right in the
photograph left) which
is ideal for the domestic user who wants to ensure that the water
delivered to his kitchen tap is sterile. It is capable of
treating up to 450 litres of water per hour. The UV250 (top
left in the photograph) will treat up to 1000 litres of water
per hour.
Then we have the Aquada Stainless Steel range (photograph at the right of the page) offering an excellent choice of features for automatic monitoring. The range goes from the Aquada 1 which will disinfect up to 900 litres per hour through to the Aquada 10 which is capable of disinfecting at a flow rate of 10,000 litres per hour. All models have good safety features but all are available with options for micro-computer control, lamp change reminder, selective UV monitoring, UV intensity display and audible alarm.
